Lawrenceville police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that led to the death of a driver.
Just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, officers were dispatched to the area of Buford Drive at Hurricane Shoals after receiving several calls about the crash.
The investigation showed a vehicle traveling north on Buford Drive crossed over into the southbound lanes and hit a Nissan Rogue head-on.

The driver of the Nissan Rogue died from his or her injuries. Police said the at-fault driver and passengers in the car were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say alcohol was “a contributing factor” and charges are pending. The driver who will face charges has not been identified.
Officials have not released the name and age of the driver who died.
