Remember the candy necklaces of your youth? These bold stone necklaces—which showed up on the spring catwalks at Zimmermann and Ralph Lauren and have graced the necks of countless editors, buyers, and influencers over the past few months—are today’s playful yet grown-up equivalent. Go with a solid-color strand that’ll pair well with a white T-shirt or switch things up with a wider range of shades; we’ve noticed particular interest in turquoise and bold red.

We’re also in the midst of a gigantic preppy moment, and slim, expensive-looking timepieces fit in deliciously. What better way to class up a crisp white button-down, a pair of loafers, and some worn-in jeans? Fashion people are firmly on board, sporting similar watches (some from Cartier, some from Amazon) as a way to flex their refined taste. No matter your budget, this is one trend that’s just as cute as it is practical.

After a few years of subduing our jewelry as much as possible in the name of quiet luxury, there’s a breath of fresh air on the way: in-your-face jewels. We noticed kitschy gemstones adding some tongue-in-cheek glamour to the spring collections at Saint Laurent and Valentino, and high-street brands like Kate Spade and H&M are all-in on the look for the season ahead. While we’re all for the real things if you can afford them, feel free to go the imitation route—you can get gigantic glass cocktail rings for under $20. Life is short. Let’s have some fun!
