Underwood, who hails from Bloomfield Hills, Mich., played five seasons in the NCAA from 2018-2023.

In 2023-24, Underwood suited up for the Utah Grizzlies, putting up an assist in three regular season games. Over the course of his 167 career NCAA games, Underwood scored six goals and added 17 assists for 23 points.

With only six games of pro experience under his belt (he got into three games with the AHL’s Colorado Eagles in 2022-23), Underwood has yet to fully establish himself after his NCAA career. With that being said, Underwood makes smart, simple plays at both ends of the ice and could be a great get for the Ghost Pirates.
