Glamour‘s annual Women of the Year event honors the women who change the world for the better in art, business, entertainment, science, and beyond. The guest list is always jam-packed with inspiring leaders and fabulous celebrities, and it all starts with the rest carpet arrivals.
The hosts will be icon Brooke Shields, herself a Women of the Year honoree in 2023, and her daughter, Rowan Henchy.
Among the honorees this year is tennis legend Serena Williams, arguably one of our greatest living athletes. In her global Glamour cover profile, she reflected on her bond with another amazing woman in her life: her sister Venus, who is her rock.
“I love her. I don’t want our lives to ever be separate,” Williams said. “Tennis is so lonely. You’re on the road for 10 or 11 months out of the year. You really rely on having someone else out there. And Venus was there, and who else was going to relate to me? We were successful, and we were Black. We leaned on each other. We lived together. We lived together until a year before I had Olympia, so literally our whole lives.”
Also receiving a global WOTY honor is animal rights activist and actor Pamela Anderson. “It’s really an honor to be chosen…but I want to be careful with all of it. I want to have integrity,” she reflected. “Why do you want me to be Woman of the Year? Because I’m living my authentic life, because I’m making these choices.”
