“I made my friends’ kids a custom board book of my face expressing a range of emotions (happy, sad, mad, etc.),” says Glamour‘s Griggs. “I even personalized the back cover with an auntie author bio and fake ‘reviews’ from the kids themselves, which the parents loved. It’s a fun, personal gift for the children who live far away—and a sneaky way of making them remember you.”
