Projecting S Kitan Crawford's rookie role in 2025 for Arizona Cardinals

Crawford’s special teams play will have to be great to beat out Joey Blount.

The Arizona Cardinals selected seven players in the 2025 NFL draft. Their seventh-round pick, safety Kitan crawford, was selected with pick No. 225.

What role could he play for the team as a rookie? We will look at each draft pick and make projections for what role each can viably expect for them in 2025.

What is the case for Crawford?

Expected role for Arizona Cardinals S Kitan Crawford

As a seventh-round pick, there is no guarantee he will make the roster. However, he comes in with a background in special teams, having paid over 1,000 special teams snaps in college.

At safety, Budda Baker, Jalen Thompson and Rabbit Taylor-Demerson are locked in for the roster. Most of the season, they had four safeties on the roster. The other was Joey Blount, a core special teamer.

So Crawford will have to beat out Blount for the roster or he will end up on the practice squad.
