Anne Hathaway Isn't Trading Dramatic Winter Coats for Spring Jacket Trends Just Yet

Spring 2025 jacket trends have already commenced their inevitable takeover, but Anne Hathaway isn’t letting go of this year’s favorite coat so fast.

On March 15, the Verity star attended Moncler Grenoble’s snowy fall/winter 2025 fashion show in Courchevel, France, wearing a dramatic chocolate fur coat with a complete look from the luxury outerwear brand. Underneath the statement piece, Hathaway wore black turtleneck and drawstring ski pants with a cinched hem over chunky black boots.

If there was no fake snow in the photos, you’d still get the idea she was heading for the slopes…or the nearest après ski lounge serving hot toddies.

When it comes to fashion shows, celebrities will often be dressed in the designer’s looks with little regard for the current season. However, it’s worth noting that Jessica Chastain and Nicola Peltz Beckham both opted for more transitional ensembles that would serve them well in early spring.

It seems Anne Hathaway and her stylist, Erin Walsh, didn’t feel the need to bid adieu to this season’s faux and vintage fur coat trends, which have been embraced by the likes of Hailey Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Bella Hadid. And why should they?

In early February, Swift signaled the style could persevere until summer by pairing a short Charlotte Simone coat with a tank top and shorts that were more on par with New Orlean’s outdoor temperatures at the time.

“I think sometimes people use coats as like a safety net, and that’s okay, because your clothing should make you feel held and protected and comfortable,” Walsh told Glamour back in December. Clearly, that feeling doesn’t come with an expiration date.

Of course, if you are ready to give up your winter armor for more light-weight options, Glamour rounded up the most sought-after styles for spring 2025.
