Chelsea could reportedly replace one of their attackers in the January transfer window next month if a decision is made very soon.
Chelsea are not expected to be one of the busy clubs during the winter window which is always much slower and less busier than the summer window anyway. But with Chelsea, there is always a sense of keeping an eye on them in case of any opportunities arising, or potentially other issues coming up. They are never far from a transfer window and are continuing to be linked with potential new arrivals in attack and at the back.
EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea looking at 5/6 positions to sign new players in!
There is one situation that has come up involving winger Mykhailo Mudryk, with the Ukrainian looking set to be banned from playing football for a significant amount of time after testing positive for a banned substance in his system.
Mudryk to be replaced?
Chelsea could look to sign a new forward in the January transfer window if Mykhailo Mudryk receives a lengthy ban, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed the London giants could look to replace the Ukraine international if he’s unavailable for a substantial period of time.
Mudryk was provisionally suspended by the Football Association (FA) earlier this month (17 December) after failing a drugs test.
There are no names given on who Chelsea will look to sign if Mudryk does get banned, so this is pretty much a speculative claim in this article. But I am sure that Chelsea might look to Tyrique George for the rest of the season should Mudryk get banned, and then perhaps address it in the summer rather than in the January window. But we will just have to wait and see on all of that.
