After transferring out of the program last offseason, former Alabama Crimson Tide basketball player Kris Parker has now reportedly reentered the NCAA transfer portal after only one season with the Villanova Wildcats.
A member of Alabama’s Final Four team in 2023-24, Parker appeared in 27 games off Villanova’s bench this past season, averaging 2.6 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. Parker also shot 43.6% from the field, as well as 20% from three and 60% at the free throw line.
At Alabama, Parker did not see action during the 2023-24 season, redshirting at seasons end. Prior to Alabama, the guard was rated as a four-star prospect in the Crimson Tide’s 2023 recruiting class out of Crossroad Academy in Florida.
With the decision of Parker to depart Villanova, it now means that five of Alabama’s six transfers from last offseason have now reentered the portal only a year later, joining the group of Rylan Griffen, Nick Pringle, Sam Walters, and Davin Cosby. The lone player who has not reentered the portal is Mohamed Wague, who is out of eligibility after a season at Oklahoma.
