Fusion21 appoints 145 firms to £800m safety and compliance framework

Procurement body Fusion21 has named 145 suppliers to its latest building safety and compliance framework, expected to be worth up to £800m over four years.

The framework, which is open to public sector clients, comprises 12 lots covering fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, electronic security, and warden call systems. It was procured under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and includes a newly created lot for fire suppression using sprinkler and mist systems.

The overwhelming majority (81 per cent) of the firms appointed are small and medium-sized enterprises, Fusion21 announced today (13 May).

Peter Francis, its group executive director of operations, said the framework was updated in response to feedback from suppliers and members and aligned to the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022.

He added: “With a team of technical procurement experts and pre-qualified suppliers, our members will benefit from a fast route to market and flexible call-off options.”

Fusion21 said the framework covers all building types and is designed to help public sector clients demonstrate building compliance and deliver visible social value.

The lots are as follows:

  • Lot one: asbestos surveying and consultancy
  • Lot two: asbestos abatement and removal
  • Lot three: legionella and water hygiene consultancy
  • Lot four: legionella monitoring and control
  • Lot five: fire safety surveying and consultancy (multi-disciplinary)
  • Lot six: fire risk assessments
  • Lot seven: fire safety inspections
  • Lot eight: passive fire protection
  • Lot nine: fire suppression systems (sprinkler and mist)
