There are two potential debutants in the Germany U21 squad announced for this month’s matches against Slovakia (March 21) and Spain (March 25).
Gladbach’s Lukas Ullrich and FC Nürnberg’s Caspar Jander have both been called up for the first time.
“Both have earned their call-ups with consistent performances for their clubs,” said Germany U21 coach Antonio Di Salvo.
“With the games against Slovakia an Spain, we want to focus on the European Championship. We want to get our first experience in Slovakia before June, and we’re looking forward to a top game against Spain in Darmstadt, where we’ll not only face a top-class opponent but also a fantastic crowd,” said the coach.
“Of course, we will use the time to prepare and develop the team for the European Championship. These two games will help us do that. And, like we did against France recently, we’ll be competing with Spain at the highest European level. Four months after the last game, I’m really looking forward to the next step towards the European Championship.”
