House of the Dragon Season 3 Includes Alums from Downton Abby, Andor, & The Sandman

House of the Dragon is getting a new addition with three new cast members. Today, we found out that Tom Cullen (Downton Abbey), Joplin Sibtain (aka Brasso in Andor), and Barry Sloane (aka The Prodigal in Netflix’s The Sandman) will be in season three of the show, which is currently in production in the U.K.

Cullen is playing Ser Luthor Largent, who—in George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood—is described as a strong, almost seven-foot-tall knight who allegedly killed a warhorse once with just one punch. He was, for a time, commander of the City Watch of King’s Landing. Sibtain is Ser “Bold” Jon Roxton, the head of House Roxton who fought with King Aegon II. Sloane is Ser Adrian Redfort, a member of Rhaenyra’s Queensgard.

The three join three other previously announced cast members new to the production: James Norton, Tommy Flanagan, and Dan Fogler. All six of them will join the actors returning for season three, including Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, Matthew Needham, Tom Bennett, Kieran Bew, Kurt Egyiawan, Freddie Fox, Clinton Liberty, Gayle Rankin, and Abubakar Salim.

No news yet on when the third, eight-episode season of House of the Dragon will premiere on HBO and Max. icon-paragraph-end
