Hurricane Milton made landfall on Wednesday night near Sarasota as an “extremely dangerous” Category 3 storm.
The National Hurricane Center warned of “life-threatening storm surge, extreme winds, and flash flooding” over much of central Florida.
Even before battering the state, winds from the storm led to multiple tornadoes and tornado warnings. About 125 homes were destroyed before Hurricane Milton made landfall on Wednesday night near Sarasota.
