Mets' Brandon Nimmo exits Sunday's game against Marlins with right shoulder discomfort

Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo was pulled from Sunday’s game against the Miami Marlins with what was later announced as right shoulder discomfort.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, Nimmo, who homered earlier in the game, fouled back the first pitch of his at-bat against Andrew Nardi and immediately appeared to be in some distress.

Nimmo was checked out by the training staff and initially stayed in the game to finish out the at-bat. But after striking out, he was replaced by Jeff McNeil in left field in the top of the eighth inning.

More to come…
