Israel’s Iron Dome defense system intercepted missiles falling in Haifa, northern Israel, on Monday, September 23, as the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah escalated through the day.
Footage filmed and posted to Instagram by @katrin_rachlin shows multiple flashes in the city on Monday afternoon and evening.
According to a statement from the Israel Defense Forces posted on Monday evening, alerts were activated in the Haifa area and multiple launches were detected from Lebanese territory.
Throughout Monday, Israel launched hundreds of airstrikes in southern and eastern Lebanon, killing more than 350 people, including several Hezbollah commanders, in the deadliest barrage since 2006, reports said. Credit: @katrin_rachlin via Storyful
