Donald Trump simply cannot keep Taylor Swiftâs name out of his mouth.
While wrapping up his visit to the Middle East, the 78-year-old president took to social media to announce that Taylor Swift is âno longer âhot,ââ seemingly implying his own vitriol was responsible for a drop in popularity. Supernormal behavior, as usual.
âHas anyone noticed that, since I said âI HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,â sheâs no longer âHOT?ââ he posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, on March 16. No, but we did notice that you are planning to accept a $400 million airplane as a gift from Qatar, which is sus, to say the least.
In all seriousness, this seems to be a distraction tactic to get people talking about a celebrity feud instead of his efforts to curb nationwide injunctions in an effort to push through an executive order ending birthright citizenship. Still, I want to address his question.
Does Trump mean âno longer âHotââ as in no longer physically attractive? If so, ew.
To me, however, Trump seems to be suggesting his negative opinion on the pop star has tanked her influence over the course of the past few months. In reality, sheâs justâ¦not on tour at the moment?
The Eras Tour wrapped in December 2024, marking the first $2 billion tour in history. Once that was over, she spent some time supporting her boyfriend at football games, with the NFL making bank on her presence every step of the way. God forbid she rests a few months before she announces Reputation (Taylorâs Version), which fans have eagerly awaited for years.
Clearly, sheâs still âhotâ enough that the president of the United States is talking about her on social media in the middle of Supreme Court rants, during the Eaglesâs White House visit, and after she publicly announced she was voting for his political rival Kamala Harris in September 2024. For better or worse, Swift hasnât spoken about the president since posting that endorsement.
Hope that helps!
