After missing a few games, Taylor Swift was back to cheering on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, during the November 4 Chiefs versus Buccaneers game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. And this time, she brought along the whole Taylor Swift family to help show support for her man. Swift’s mom, Andrea, as well as her brother, Austin, were also in attendance at the game, and they made almost as big an impression as the pop star herself.
First, can we have a moment for Andrea’s black jacket, which included red text reading “In my Chiefs Era” on the front? The subtle shout-out had Swifties on Twitter “sobbing.” One comment said, “Her shirt 😭 ‘In my Chiefs Eras’ omg stahp! 🫶🏽.”
Fan-captured photos show that though Austin was also at the game, he apparently left his custom Swift-Kelce merch at home.
But just a few days prior, Austin had made an entirely different kind of impression on fans at an Eras Tour show in Indianapolis. Per Page Six, when security tried to remove a fan dressed as Travis Kelce who tried to approach, Austin came to the fan’s defense. In a video posted to TikTok, the security guard can be seen taking the woman by the arms, and telling her the football helmet she was wearing was not allowed. At that point, Austin intervened. “Hey, let’s not put hands on people,” he told the guard. Turning to the fan, he complimented her outfit. “I’m sorry about that. It’s a really cool costume.”
So, we definitely know that Travis Kelce has Taylor Swift’s family’s stamp of approval.
