A worker has died at a Barratt David Wilson Homes construction site in Ramsgate, Kent, the housebuilder has confirmed.
Kent Police was called after a man sustained injuries at a site off New Haine Road in Ramsgate on Tuesday evening (14 November).
Emergency services attended the incident at the Spitfire Green development, near the village of Manston, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kent Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious and a report would be prepared for the coroner.
Barratt David Wilson Kent, a subsidiary of Barratt Developments, the UK’s largest housebuilder, said it was cooperating with the authorities investigating the incident.
“We are deeply saddened to confirm that an individual working at our development in Manston passed away yesterday,” a spokesperson said.
“Our thoughts and condolences are with his family, friends and co-workers.
“We are supporting the teams on the site and relevant authorities as they investigate what happened.”
The Health and Safety Executive said it was aware of the incident and was liaising with Kent Police.
